Hystat J Lay Cylinders commissioned and en route to first job
Hystat have successfully supplied over 80 fully DNV approved cylinders of various designs, for a key customers 1,500t rigid pipe laying Tower.
Overall weight, design and fatigue life were considered to complete a challenging project to both the customers and DNV requirements.
The J Lay Tower, one of the world’s most versatile, was installed, commissioned, tested and trialled on the new build vessel, Saipem FDS2, in South Korea. Following this success the system is now en route to begin operating off West Africa.


Hystat invests in new 8 meter lathe at Slaithwaite site
Hystat have installed a new large 8m flat bed lathe with the capacity and the power to handle all their rod and barrel manufacture, therefore removing the need to outsource their larger shaft work.
The Dugard BN50-8000 comes fully equipped with the latest Fanuc control and is capable of handling components over 8 meters and up to 12 tonnes between centres.



Hystat acquires Titan Manufacturing Ltd.
Hystat Systems Ltd is pleased to announce that on 08/01/10 it procured the assets of Titan Manufacturing Ltd. This includes the sales records, engineering drawings and all the technical information relating to products produced by Titan and associated companies.
All Titan information is retained by Hystat who will be able to supply spares, replacements or technical information for the Titan range of equipment.
Business of the year award 2009
Hystat Systems Ltd was named business of the year at a ceremony staged at the Cedar Court Hotel which was attended by leading business figures from the Yorkshire region.
The company fought off some strong competition to land the award – just weeks after being named as May’s business of the month.
Ray Wadsworth, managing director, was joined by fellow directors Chris Watson and Dave Robins on stage to receive the award from Kirklees Mayor Clr Julie Stewart-Taylor.
